Men's Soccer Picks Up Road Win Against Anderson

TERRE HAUTE Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer was able to come away with a win over HCAC competitor Anderson University on Wednesday, October 24.  This improves the Engineers to 9-6-1 overall and 6-2 in the HCAC.

The first half was highly competitive.  Rose-Hulman was able to out-shoot the Ravens 3-0 in the first period.  Both teams had trouble getting to the net which led to a 0-0 tie as the match headed into halftime.

The second half continued to be a defensive battle.  The Engineers were able to take advantage of an opportunity near the goal after a foul by Anderson in the corner.  Wyatt McKibbon was able to connect with Brevin Lacy in the 55th minute of play for the goal to take the lead over the Ravens.  Rose-Hulman would go on to win the match with a final score of 1-0.  The Engineers finished outshooting the Ravens 9-5.

Goalie Pascal Schlee ended the night with 1 save after 1 shot on goal to force the shutout for the Engineers.  This puts the Engineers at 9-6-1 and 6-2 in the HCAC as they travel to face Transylvania on Saturday, 10/27 at 3:30 PM.  The team has not completely clinched a bid to the HCAC Tournament and will hope to secure a bid based on Saturday's results.
