Butler, Lynch, McKibbon, Schlee, and Tarr Receive All-Conference Recognition

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Five athletes on the Rose-Hulman men's soccer team have been recognized with ALL-HCAC awards.  Sophmore defender Ethan Butler and senior midfielder Charles Lynch were awarded 1st team ALL-HCAC while sophomore defender Wyatt McKibbon, junior goalkeeper Pascal Schlee, and sophomore defender Ryan Tarr received 2nd team ALL-HCAC honors for their performances in the 2018 season.  

Butler has been selected for 1st team ALL-HCAC this year and started in 17 games for the Engineers this season.  Last year as a freshman, Butler received Honorable mention from the HCAC.  He finished the season with one goal and two points on the offensive end.  Butler has been a key defender for Rose-Hulman the entire year to make the Engineers considered one of the top defensive teams in the HCAC.  

Lynch was also named 1st team ALL-HCAC for the 2018 season.  He has started in 16 games this season for the Engineers and has recorded one goal, two assists, and four points.  Charles has shown great leadership for the team on the defensive side of the pitch.  He wraps up his senior season participating in 74 games for the Engineers with four goals, six assists, and fourteen points over his career.  

McKibbon has been named 2nd team ALL-HCAC this year.  He has started in 16 games for the Engineers in the 2018 season and recorded six assists and six points.  McKibbon has been a productive and reliable defender for the Engineers all season.

Goalie Pascal Schlee was selected for the 2nd team ALL-HCAC.  Schlee has been honored as the HCAC defensive player of the week four times this season for his performances.  Schlee finished the season with 56 saves and a save percentage of .778.  He led the HCAC at the end of the regular season with a .84 goals-against-average and also led the Engineers defense to nine shutouts.  

Tarr was also named to the 2nd team ALL-HCAC.  He has started in 16 games this season and has recorded four goals and eight points.  He has been a key piece of the defensive front for the Engineers helping Rose-Hulman to only allow 17 goals this season.  

Michel Farhat was awarded Honorable mention from the conference.  He finishes this season with six goals and twelve points.  Farhat wraps up his career at Rose-Hulman playing in 40 games with 15 starts.  He has recorded six goals, one assist, and thirteen points in his years as an Engineer.

Sophomore Eric Kirby was recognized as well after being placed on the ALL-HCAC Sportsmanship team.
