TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday Oct. 29 at Hanover College.
The eight-kilometer men's cross country championship begins at 11:45 a.m. Rose-Hulman looks to capture its third consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship. The top 12 runners in the race will capture all-conference honors, with the next eight finishers named honorable mention all-league.
Rose-Hulman has had two second-place finishes and one third-place finish so far in 2016. Alton Anspaugh and Matt Hill have emerged as two of the conference's runners with season-best times of 25:47 and 25:52, respectively. Five runners ran under the 28-minute mark during the team's most recent race at Evansville on Oct. 15.
