Softball Splits Twinbill; Stands 5-3 on Florida Trip

CLERMONT, Fla. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology stands 5-3 on its annual Florida trip after splitting a twinbill on Thursday afternoon.

Adrian, 6, Rose-Hulman 4 - Rose-Hulman fell in the first game of the today to the Adrian College Bulldogs.

The Fightin' Engineers tallied 10 hits in the contest. Jenny Miller led Rose-Hulman offensively, going 2-4 with three RBI.  Cydney Ogan went 2-3 and finished with two runs scored.  Gabbi Markison went 2-4 against Adrian as well.

Rose-Hulman 4, Concordia-Moorhead 3 - RHIT picked up its fifth win of the season following a one run victory over the Concordia-Moorhead Cobbers.

Mandi Routon finished game two going 2-3 at the plate with a pair of runs scored.  Maddie Struble drove in three runs in the win and Jessica Will added an RBI.  

Alexis Price picked up her second win of the season and allowed one run on four hits. 

Rose-Hulman will conclude its annual Florida Trip with matchups against Neumann (Pa.) and Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Friday morning.
