Women's Soccer Falls on the Road to Hanover

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Fightin' Engineers came up short in a tough loss to the Hanover College Panthers with a final score of 2-0.  This loss puts the Engineers at 7-6 overall this season and 2-2 in the HCAC.  

The Panthers were able to get to the net in the 23rd minute to take the lead over Rose-Hulman 1-0.  They were able to add another goal at the end of the first half in the 42nd minute to increase the lead to 2-0. 

Rose Hulman struggled to get the offense going in the second half.  Maggie Sheerin led the team with two shots in the match.  Hanover was able to hold onto their lead and defeat the Engineers with a final of 2-0.  Goalie Katie Demert finished the match with five saves after seven shots on goal.

Hanover improved to 11-1 overall and 4-0 in HCAC play, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 7-6 and 2-2 in league play.  The Fightin' Engineers will host Earlham College this Saturday, 10/13 for senior day at 1:00 PM.
