Baseball Travels to No. 17/22 Franklin for Tuesday Doubleheader

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team travels to nationally ranked Franklin for a doubleheader today at 1 p.m.

ROSE-HULMAN NEWS & NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman is batting .282 as a team with 45 doubles in 27 games.  Logan Cody leads the offense with a .381 average (4 2B, 1 3B).
* Other above .300 hitters include Conner Helbling (.345, 5 2B, 1 HR); Zach Witonsky (.343, 1 2B); Ryan Stachowski (.338, 9 2B, 2 HR); Davis Robeson (.330, 8 2B, 2 3B); David Burnside (.329, 5 2B, 1 3B); Luke Buehler (.313); Conner Shipley (.313, 1 2B); and Sean Casey (.310, 1 2B, 2 HR).
* On the mound, Rose-Hulman has a 4.78 ERA with 156 strikeouts in 229.2 innings of work.
* Luke Buehler has a 1.94 ERA in six starts and also has one save.  Buehler has pitched 41.2 innings, allowing just 37 hits and six earned runs with 31 strikeouts.
* Other members of the starting rotation have included Clayton Mayfield (3-2, 2.70); Trever Bruno (2-3, 4.17); Chuck Alexa (1-1, 5.96); and Trevor Dallio (0-3, 7.03).

THE OPPOSITION:
* Franklin is ranked No. 17 (ABCA) and No. 22 (D3baseball.com) in the latest top 25 polls with an overall record of 22-2 (7-1 HCAC).
* Franklin is batting .357 with 52 doubles and 31 home runs in 24 games.
* The Grizzlies pitching staff has struck out 167 and has a 3.44 ERA in 204 innings of work.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads Franklin 18-13 in the HCAC era.  The Fightin' Engineers have won the last five meetings in the series.
