Men's Basketball Heads to Bluffton on Saturday at 1 PM

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team travels to Bluffton for a key HCAC matchup on Saturday at 1 p.m.



Rose-Hulman (10-4, 6-1 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • Rose-Hulman moved alone in first place in the HCAC standings with a 74-71 overtime win at Franklin on Wednesday night.
  • Rose-Hulman holds a one-game lead over Bluffton, Anderson, Hanover and Transylvania in the HCAC standings entering Saturday's game. 
  • Rose-Hulman enters Wednesday's game on a 6-game winning streak.  The Fightin' Engineers have won 8-of-9 overall.  
  • Craig McGee (53%) and Charlie Aimone (46%) rank first and fourth in the HCAC in three-point shooting percentage entering Saturday's action.
  • The Rose-Hulman offensive attack features three players averaging in double figures and a fourth player close to double figures.  Charlie Aimone leads the team at 14.5 points per game, Ryuji Aoki is averaging 13.0, Craig McGee is averaging 12.6, and John Czarnecki is adding 9.6 points per contest.
  • Rose-Hulman has won 19 of its last 23 HCAC regular season games dating back to last season.
  • The Fightin' Engineers return home on Wednesday to face Anderson at Hulbert Arena.

  • Bluffton has won 7-of-8 games to move into second place in the HCAC standings at 5-2 in league play.
  • Bluffton has HCAC wins over Earlham, Hanover, Franklin, Mount St. Joseph and Defiance so far this season.
  • Andrew Renner leads Bluffton in scoring at 20.2 points per game.  Aaron Rich (11.7) and Jameel Cosby (10.6) are also double figure scorers.
