TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The 2019-20 Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball schedule features 10 home games and matchups with two traditional non-conference rivals.
Rose-Hulman opens the 2019-20 season at DePauw University on Friday Nov. 15 in a matchup of two institutions separated by just 33 miles. The Fightin' Engineers also face traditional in-state rival Wabash College, with a home matchup at Hulbert Arena on Monday Dec. 16.
The non-conference schedule also includes a trip to the Carthage Invitational in Wisconsin on Nov. 22-23. Rose-Hulman will also travel for non-conference games at North Central on Monday Nov. 25 and Albion on Sunday Dec. 1. The schedule currently has one available open date, which will be announced when confirmed prior to the season.
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule begins Wednesday Dec. 4 at Manchester University. Home Saturday doubleheaders that include a conference women's game will take place on Dec. 7 (Defiance), Jan. 4 (Hanover), Jan. 18 (Transylvania), Jan. 25 (Bluffton) and Feb. 1 (Mount St. Joseph). The John Mutchner Cup Game will take place Wed. Jan. 8 when the Fightin' Engineers take on Earlham at Hulbert Arena. Senior Day will take place at the Feb. 1 home game with Mount St. Joseph.
Rose-Hulman finished 17-9 last season and 13-5 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play. The Fightin' Engineers have reached the HCAC Tournament Championship Game five times in the last eight years and are projected to return three starters and more than 10 letterwinners next season. The roster is also expected to include newcomers from several different states.
