TERRE HAUTE, Ind -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hits the road for Defiance College and a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday at 3 pm.
Rose-Hulman (11-11, 8-7 HCAC) News & Notes:
Rose-Hulman stands 5th in the HCAC standings, while Defiance is one game behind 6th in the league entering Saturday's matchup. The top six teams will qualify for the HCAC Tournament, and Rose-Hulman's first game would take place on Feb. 28 if the Fightin' Engineers make the tournament.
Craig McGee became the 31st men's basketball player in Rose-Hulman history to cross the 1,000-point mark in a career. McGee has 1,051 points and ranks No. 3 in RHIT history with 415 assists. Only Mark Givan (484) and Jim Baske (424) are above McGee on the all-time assist list at Rose-Hulman.
McGee ranks No. 2 in the HCAC in scoring (17.6 ppg) and rebounding (8.1 rpg), and is No. 1 in the conference in assists (6.8 apg).
John Czarnecki recorded a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds against Franklin. Czarnecki has scored 966 points in his Engineer career.
Head coach Rusty Loyd enters contest with a career record of 91-64. Loyd has led Rose-Hulman to one regular season conference title and two appearances in the HCAC Tournament Championship Game.

- Defiance enters Saturday's game just one game behind Anderson in the race for the final HCAC Tournament spot.
- Marell Jordan leads the Yellow Jackets in scoring at 14.0 points per game.
- The balanced offense also features double-figure scorers Tyler Andrew (13.4 ppg) and Sean Tyson (13.1 ppg).
