CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- Thomas More College rallied from a second half deficit to top Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 2-1 in men's soccer action on Sunday afternoon.
Rose-Hulman took the early lead on an own goal 16 minutes into the game. The Fightin' Engineers outshot Thomas More 5-3 in the opening 45 minutes to take the 1-0 advantage to halftime.
In the second half, Pierce Turner of Thomas More knotted the score at 1-1 with a score at the 48-minute mark. Patrick Louis later scored the game winner with 8:24 remaining.
Rose-Hulman outshot Thomas More 9-8 in the tightly contested matchup. The Fightin' Engineers also had a 5-1 edge in corner kicks, including 4-1 in the opening half.
Rose-Hulman stands 1-2 on the season, while Thomas More improved to 2-1-1. The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Wednesday at home against Wabash College.
