ALBION, Mich. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology scored in the 84th and 96th minutes to pick up a 2-1 overtime victory at Albion College in men's soccer action on Saturday.
Rose-Hulman controlled the contest from the outset, outshooting the host Britons 22-1 in the match. Albion's Noah Scott found the back of the net on the team's lone shot of the day, scoring in the 39th minute to give the Britons a 1-0 lead.
Rose-Hulman fired 12 shots in the second 45 minutes of action, finally knotting the score in the 84th minute. Eric Kirby provided the goal to force the tie.
In overtime, Rose-Hulman continued to control play with four shots in the 5:43 that overtime lasted. Ryan Tarr ended the game with an overtime goal, courtesy of a pass from Kirby.
Rose-Hulman improved to 3-0 with the victory, while Albion fell to 0-3-1. The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Wednesday with a match at Wabash College.
