Men's Tennis Falls to D-II Davenport to Open Monday Doubleheader

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology dropped a pair of men's tennis decisions to talented NCAA Division II opponents on day two of the team's Florida trip.

Rose-Hulman feel 8-1 to Davenport (Mich.) on Monday morning, before falling 8-1 to No. 12 ranked Palm Beach Atlantic 8-1 in the nightcap.

Ian Landwehr led the Rose-Hulman performance against with third-set tiebreak victories against both opponents.  Landwehr won his third set tiebreak 10-6 against Davenport and 10-2 against Palm Beach Atlantic.

Rose-Hulman stands 0-5 on the season, with three losses to NCAA Division II top 25 ranked teams and two losses to NCAA Division II opposition.  The Fightin' Engineers return to action against Augustana (Ill.) and Florida Tech to complete the Florida portion of its spring trip on Tuesday.
