DELAWARE, Ohio. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis was able to extend their winning streak to five matches after receiving their first win of the season over a regionally ranked team in Ohio Wesleyan. This win improves their record to 6-9 overall.
The Engineers were able to pick up three wins in doubles competition to take control of the match early. Andre Adam and Josh Giambattista were able to win in No. 1 doubles with a score of 8-3. Ian Landwehr and Austin Perry recorded a win in No. 2 doubles 8-6. Joseph Conrad and Ben Strate were able to finish doubles competition with a win 8-2.
Rose Hulman put on an impressive performance sweeping singles competition. Ian Landwehr was able to pick up the win in No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0. In the No. 2 singles flight, Andre Adam was able to come away with the victory 6-3, 6-2. Austin Perry was able to finish ahead in No. 3 singles with a final score of 6-2, 6-3.
Rose-Hulman stands at the top of the HCAC with a conference record of 3-0 and an overall record of 6-9. The team will travel to take on Wabash tomorrow at 5:00 PM.
