DECATUR, Ill. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on two top-10 performances to finish third at the H.W. Wright Millikin Men's Cross Country Classic on Friday afternoon.
Washington University captured top honors with a score of 15 points, followed by Greenville and Rose-Hulman among nine schools.
Matthew Stevenot led the Fightin' Engineers with a 12th-place finish with ninth-fastest time in school history at 25:26. Alton Anspaugh finished just three seconds back for a 14th place effort and the 12th fastest mark in program history.
Other top finishers included Kevin Wuest in 29th place (25:59); Chandler Harkins in 43rd (26:31), and Walt Dearing, in 46th (26:39). Ben Gothard (26:40) and Evan Ammidown (26:51) rounded out the Rose-Hulman top seven.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble on October 14.
