Men's Cross Country Places 6th at Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble

OBERLIN, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed sixth of 31 teams in the highly competitive Oberlin Men's Cross Country Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday morning.

Alton Anspaugh and Matthew Stevenot led the Fightin' Engineers with top 20 finishes in a field featuring 264 entrants.  Anspuagh finished 18th in 25:56, with Stevenot placing 19th in 25:57.

Walt Dearing came home 26th with a mark of 26:09 to bolster the effort.  Kennedy Schnieders and Kevin Wuest rounded out the team score by placing 59th in 26:51 and 88th in 27:12.

Other Fightin' Engineer competitors included Matt Hill (27:22); Evan Ammidown (27:34); Chandler Harkins (27:44) and Nolan Gross (27:49).

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday Oct. 28 hosted by Manchester.
