5 Things to Know: 2018 Rose-Hulman Men's Cross Country

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- As we prepare for the 2018 fall sports season, we are starting a series "5 Things to Know" where we will share some fun facts about each of the fall sports teams over the next few weekdays.  We will release information on two fall sports teams each day. 

5 THINGS TO KNOW: 2018 ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

  • Rose-Hulman has won the HCAC men's cross country championship three times in the last four years (2014, '15, '17)
  • The LaVern Gibson Championship Course, which has hosted the NCAA Division I Men's Cross Country Championship 12 times, is located less than 10 minutes from the Rose-Hulman campus
  • The 2018 cross country schedule begins September 15 with a trip to the John McNichols Invitational at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course
  • The men's cross country team returns 2 all-conference (Kennedy Schnieders; Matthew Stevenot) and 3 honorable mention all-conference honorees from the 2017 season
  • The men's cross country roster includes athletes coming to Rose-Hulman from 9 different states
