TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed third in the season opening John McNichols Invitational on Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course, led by three top-10 finishers.
Other top finishers for Rose-Hulman included Sean Sullivan in 10th (27:45); Ben Gothard in 11th (27:52); and Nathan Ciriacks in 15th (28:08). The top seven for the Fightin' Engineers also included Ethan Jones in 15th (28:09) and Evan Ammidown in 18th (28:27).
Indianapolis won the small college division with 33 points, followed by DePauw at 48 and Rose-Hulman at 50. Vincennes came in fourth with 114 points.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Millikin Invitational on Friday Sept. 28.
