TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology remains No. 7 in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region men's cross country rankings for the second consecutive week, in results released today by the USTFCCCA.
Rose-Hulman remains at their highest in-season mark since the 2014 season. The Fightin' Engineers are also the only ranked team in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference this week.
Calvin stands No. 1 in the region, followed by Albion, Otterbein, Trine and Case Western. DePauw ranks sixth, followed by Rose-Hulman, John Carroll, Mount Union and Ohio Northern.
The regional ranking occurred after a strong team performance at the Indiana State John McNichols Invitational on Sept. 15. The Fightin' Engineers finished third overall, just two points behind DePauw, and had three runners finish in the top 10.
Top Rose-Hulman finishers on Sept. 15 included Matthew Stevenot in 7th (27:05); Nolan Gross in 8th (27:22); Sean Sullivan in 10th (27:45); Ben Gothard in 11th (27:52); and Nathan Ciriacks in 15th (28:08).
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Millikin Invitational on Sept. 28.
