Matthew Stevenot Named HCAC Runner of the Week for 2nd Time

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior Matthew Stevenot has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after winning the Millikin Invitational last weekend.

Stevenot ran a meet winning time of 25:48 to top 110 runners and win the individual championship at Millikin late Friday afternoon.  The Fightin' Engineers won the meet with 37 points, followed by William Woods at 50 points.

The effort marks the second time that Stevenot has been named HCAC Runner of the Week this season.  He also earned the award after finishing 7th in the Indiana State John McNichols Invitational on Sept. 15.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Oberlin Invitational on October 13.
