Men's Cross Country Places a Strong 4th at Oberlin Invitational

OBERLIN, Ohio -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team placed its first five runners in the top 50 at the Oberlin Invitational, helping the squad place fourth of 27 teams in the event.

Matthew Stevenot led the Fightin' Engineers with a ninth-place finish out of 308 runners with a time of 25:57.  Evan Ammidown came home second among Fightin' Engineers with a time of 26:29.

Other runners in Rose-Hulman's top five included Nathan Ciriacks in 38th place (26:37); Nolan Gross in 39th (26:37); and Sean Sullivan in 49th (26:49).

The top seven finishers for the Fightin' Engineers also included Kevin Wuest (26:52) and Ben Gothard (27:00).

Rose-Hulman will look to defend its 2017 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship at the league meet on October 27.
