Softball Faces Neumann and Capital on Tuesday in Florida

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology takes a 1-1 record into Tuesday's doubleheader at Clermont, Florida.


Rose-Hulman (1-1, 0-0 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • Rose-Hulman defeated Northern Vermont-Johnson 14-3 and lost 1-0 to St. Mary's (Minn.) to open the season on Monday.
  • Hannah Bach led Rose-Hulman with four hits on opening day, including a 3-3 performance against Northern Vermont-Johnson.
  • Angela Boulboulle added two hits, two runs and four RBIs in the nightcap.  Five players had multiple hits for the Engineer offense in the game two win.
  • Rose-Hulman returns six varsity letter winners from the 2018 squad.  Honorable mention all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honoree Maddie Struble leads the offensive returners after batting .356 with nine doubles and 37 total hits.
  • Other returnees include senior infielder Bryly Shipman; senior outfielder Erin Minervini; junior pitcher/infielder Alexis Price; junior infielder Jessica Thuer; and sophomore outfielder Hannah Bach.

  • Neumann is a perfect 4-0 so far in Florida.
  • Capital has an 0-2 mark so far on its spring trip.
