Softball Completes 2019 Schedule at Anderson on Saturday

ANDERSON, Ind. -- Anderson University relied on strong pitching to pick up an 8-2 and 9-1 doubleheader sweep over the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team to complete the 2019 Fightin' Engineer season.

In the opener, Anderson had five players with multiple hits and scored four runs in the sixth to pull away and pick up the victory.  Hadley Decker tossed a complete-game four-hitter in the circle for the Ravens.

Angela Boulboulle and Gabrielle Davidson had doubles to lead the Rose-Hulman offense.  Davidson and Emily Struble scored runs, while Boulboulle had two RBIs for the Fightin' Engineers.

In game two, D.J. Martz had two hits and four players had one hit and one run as Anderson improved to 7-7 in conference play.  Jessica Thuer led the game two offense with a double.

Rose-Hulman completed the 2019 season with an overall record of 6-24 and 2-14 in HCAC play, while Anderson stands 17-13 and 7-7 in league games.
