TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Jaclyn Setina has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her efforts in last weekend's Friday Night Invitational.
Setina helped Rose-Hulman win the six-team Invitational by a 35-point margin over Hanover College with a victory in the women's high jump. She cleared 5' 5 1/4", a mark that ranks No. 7 nationally in NCAA Division III so far this season.
Setina also provided depth to the running events, serving as a member of the winning 4-x-200 meter relay team.
Setina finished 13th in the high jump at both the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor National Championships. She is a five-time HCAC event champion, with four high jump titles and one championship as part of the 4-x-400 meter indoor relay. She also earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors with leaps of 5' 6 1/2" both indoors and outdoors in 2017.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Engineer Invitational this Friday night at the Sports and Recreation Center. Setina is one of more than 20 seniors who will be recognized prior to their final home indoor meet on Friday at 5:15 p.m.
