Track & Field Athletes Enjoy Top Finishes in Last Chance Meets

ADA, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology student-athletes enjoyed success in a pair of last chance meets to cap the indoor regular season on Feb. 24 and March 3.

Josh Himes recorded the second-best shot put mark in Rose-Hulman history with a toss of 52' 10 1/4" at the Anderson Invitational on Feb. 24.  Himes also came home second in the shot put at Ohio Northern on March 3 with a mark of 52' 0".

Nick Palmer also competed in both meets, recording a top five finish with a pole vault mark of 14' 4 1/2" at Ohio Northern.  He also cleared 14' 3 1/4" at Anderson.

Eric Fiacable provided a solid performance with a third-place finish at the Ohio Northern Invitational, tallying a weight throw mark of 54' 9 1/2".
