Track & Field Individuals Headed to Baldwin Wallace Friday



TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Individuals from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology track and field teams will compete at the Baldwin Wallace Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet in Berea, Ohio, on Friday.

Rose-Hulman News & Notes:

* The Rose-Hulman men's and women's track and field teams swept the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships on April 27-28.
* Rose-Hulman won its 11th straight HCAC men's outdoor title and its 19th consecutive team title at an HCAC championship (8 indoor).  RHIT has won every contested HCAC men's track and field championship since 2008.
* The women's squad captured its first HCAC outdoor title and its third overall conference title.  The women previously won the 2011 and 2018 HCAC indoor titles.
* Rose-Hulman completed a rare 'double triple-crown' by winning both team championships. RHIT won men's and women's HCAC team championships in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field this season.
* Rose-Hulman is ranked No. 3 in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Men's Region rankings and stands No. 13 in the Women's Regional Rankings this week. 
* The men have tallied 259.95 power points from the USTFCCCA to reach the No. 3 spot in the poll.  The women's point total stands at 100.67. 
* Individuals ranked in the NCAA Division III Top 30 this week include: Trey Sykes (#9 triple jump; 48' 7 1/4"); Jaclyn Setina (#15 in high jump, 5' 5 1/4"); Josh Himes (#15 in discus 163' 4" and #16 shot put, 52' 7 1/4"); Eric Fiacable (#16 in hammer, 183' 4"); Nick Palmer (#28 pole vault, 15' 7").
