GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology combined for 10 top-three finishes at the DePauw Small College Invitational on Friday night.
The Fightin' Engineers took home one event victory, as the women's 4-x-400 meter relay team crossed the line in a time of 4:28.85. Team members included Lois Cheatham, Kristin East, Clare Bruns and Karen Folz.
The men's and women's teams each had two runner-up finishes on Friday night. On the women's side, Bruns came home second in the 400-meter dash in 1:04.37, while Claire Perkins cleared 10' 0" to place as the runner-up in the pole vault.
On the men's side, Jonah Yates placed second in the shot put (44' 4 3/4") and the 4-x-400 meter relay team of Stephen Payne, Parker Jordan, Isaiah Lilje and William Thesken recorded a time of 3:38.71 to finish as runner-up.
The men's squad had four third-place finishers. Chris Jaeger cleared 5' 10" in the high jump; Lilje ran a 53.73 in the 400-meter dash; Aidan Moss completed the 60-hurdles in 8.94 seconds; and Stephen Payne sprinted the 200 meters in 24.04 seconds. Kristin East added a women's third-place effort with a time of 1:05.26.
Rose-Hulman will have individuals competing in the Illinois Wesleyan Keck Select Meet on Saturday in Bloomington, Illinois.
