TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed five student-athletes on the USTFCCCA NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region Team, in results released on Monday by the national coaches association.
Four men's athletes and one women's standout reached all-region status. The all-region team is made up of the top five performances over the season as achieved by the over 40 colleges and universities in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region.
Men's all-region honorees included Eric Fiacable in the weight throw (58' 10"); Aaron Lannoy in the 800-meter run with a regional best time of 1:56.05; Lauren London with school records in the long jump (18' 3 3/4"), triple jump (37' 3") and 60-meter hurdles (9.14); Nick Palmer in the pole vault (15' 9 3/4"); and Cameron Prisby in the pole vault (14' 11").
Palmer will represent Rose-Hulman in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships this weekend in Boston.
The all-region performances helped Rose-Hulman finish as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference champions in men's and women's track and field this season. The outdoor season begins with the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Meet on March 16.
