TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology returns to action at the Indiana Division III Championships hosted by DePauw University on Saturday.

Rose-Hulman News & Notes:

  • Rose-Hulman is ranked No. 4 in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Rankings for men's track and field this week.  Otterbein leads the regional rankings, followed by Mount Union, Calvin, Rose-Hulman and John Carroll.
  • The Rose-Hulman women's squad stands No. 17 in the current NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region rankings.
  • Eric Fiacable was named HCAC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the discus, hammer and shot put at DePauw last week.
  • HCAC Athletes of the Week during the outdoor season include Eric Fiacable (field); Nick Palmer (field); Trey Sykes (field); and Noah Thomas (track).
  • Individuals currently ranking in the top 25 of NCAA Division III outdoor performances this season include: Eric Fiacable (#6 men's hammer 193' 2"); Nick Palmer (#18 men's pole valt 15' 1"); Dara Smith (#9 women's high jump 5' 5"); Nathan Schrader (#10 men's javelin 196' 1"); and Trey Sykes (#10 men's triple jump 47' 0 1/4")
  • Rose-Hulman has won the team title at 20 consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's track and field championship events.  The Fightin' Engineers have 11 straight Outdoor titles and 9 straight Indoor championships.
  • Rose-Hulman has also won the team title at the last three HCAC women's track and field championship events.  The Fightin' Engineers won the 2018 and 2019 HCAC Indoor titles and are the reigning 2018 Outdoor champions.
