Track & Field Teams Travel to DePauw This Saturday


TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology travels to the DePauw University Invitational on Saturday starting at 11 am.

Rose-Hulman News & Notes:

* The Rose-Hulman men have finishes of 1st, 2nd, 2nd and 5th so far this season in four meets.  The women have placed 1st, 2nd, 4th and 8th.  
* The Rose-Hulman men are ranked No. 9 - and are the top ranked HCAC school - in the latest USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region rankings released on Tuesday.
* Mary-Helen Shomba has been named the HCAC Track Athlete of the Week twice this season after setting school records in the 60-meter hurdles three times in 2020.  Her latest effort was 9.04 seconds at Illinois Wesleyan. 
* Also on the women's side, Christina Rogers has been named HCAC Track Athlete of the Week in 2020. 
* Kristian Zadlo has been named HCAC Track Athlete of the Week, and Nathan Schrader has been named Field Athlete of the Week so far this season.
* Top-30 NCAA Division III performers this season include Nathan Schrader (#8 weight throw 58' 10 3/4"); Mary-Helen Shomba (#19 60-hurdles 9.04); Cameron Prisby (#21 pole vault 15' 1 3/4"); and Kyle Brownell (#23 high jump, 6' 7")
* Rose-Hulman swept the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Team Championships in 2019.
* Rose-Hulman enters the 2020 indoor track and field season with 21 consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference team championships.  The men have won 12 consecutive HCAC outdoor championships and 9 straight HCAC indoor titles.
* The women's program has won four HCAC Championships: 2019 (Indoor), 2018 (Outdoor), 2018 (Indoor) and 2011 (Indoor).
