Fightin' Engineers Open HCAC Play Against Defiance Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will kickoff Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday December 2 when the Fightin' Engineers host the Defiance College Yellow Jackets inside Hulbert Arena at 1 p.m. 



Rose-Hulman News & Notes:

* RHIT is currently 3-3 on the year; Rose has defeated Finlandia, No. 22 Chicago, and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. 
* The Fightin' Engineers currently possess the nation's longest home winning streak in Division III women's basketball at 26 games.
* Rose-Hulman is led by junior Ally Bromenschenkel who is avergaing 17.2 ppg and 9.2 rpg.  She has posted three double-double through six games this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers have owned the boards this year averaging 44.5 rebounds per contest.  RHIT is limiting its opponents to just 27.8 rpg.

Defiance College News & Notes:

* The Yellow Jackets bring an overall record of 1-3 to Hulbert Arena this Saturday. 
* DC defeated Ohio Wesleyan 59-58 on November 28.  
* Three Yellow Jackets are averaging double-figures this year: Lauren Rogers (11.8 ppg), Shelby Stamm (11.0 ppg), and Sam Ervin (10.0 ppg).
