Fightin' Engineers Look for 12th Straight Win Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team will look for their 12th straight win on Saturday when the team travels to Ohio to play the Defiance College Yellow Jackets.  Rose-Hulman went a perfect 9-0 through the first cycle of Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference games.

* Rose-Hulman cruised past visiting Anderson on Wednesday January 17, 84-31, for their 32nd straight win at home.
* In the win over Anderson, 13 different Engineers scored a basket.
* Rose-Hulman has one of the top defenses in America, ranking No. 9 nationally in scoring defense.  The Fightin' Engineers are allowing just 48.7 ppg. 
* RHIT ranks No. 1 in the HCAC in rebounding, grabbing 41.3 rebounds per game.
* Rose-Hulman has a +13.3 rebounding margin and a +18.9 scoring margin this season.

* Defiance fell in its most recent contest, dropping a 71-55 decision to Earlham on Wednesday January 17.
* DC sits at 5-11, 3-6 HCAC.  
* Both Sam Ervin and Lauren Rogers are averaging 12.1 ppg for the Yellow Jackets

* Rose-Hulman is 12-11 all-time against Defiance.
