Ally Bromenschenkel Named to All-Region Team

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Ally Bromenschenkel became just the fourth Fightin' Engineer women's basketball player in school history to earn all-region honors, in results released today by the national website.

Bromenschenkel was selected to the third-team All-Great Lakes Region squad for her efforts this season.  The senior averaged 17.7 points and 12.0 rebounds per game, becoming the first Rose-Hulman women's basketball player since 2011 to average a double-double for the season.

Bromenschenkel joins Rebekah Forsyth (2005, '06, '07), Suzy Carlson (2007) and Alisa Dickerson (2012) as Rose-Hulman women's basketball players to earn all-region honors in their careers.

She earned three first-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors during a historic career that included a 91-19 overall team record and a 45-2 home mark.  The team also set an HCAC record with 38 consecutive league victories from January 2017-January 2019.  Individually, she stands as Rose-Hulman's career school record holder for field goal percentage (53.1%), games played (109) and games started (109).

Bromenschenkel ranks in Rose-Hulman's career top five in points (4th with 1,409); rebounds (3rd with 840); double-doubles (3rd with 29); field goals made (2nd with 525); free throws made (4th with 340); and blocked shots (5th with 116).  Her efforts helped Rose-Hulman win its first three HCAC regular season championships and make its first two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances in program history over the last four years.

Bromenschenkel recorded 75 double-figure scoring games and tallied 20 or more points in a game 15 times at Rose-Hulman.  Her efforts helped Rose-Hulman win 91 games over the last four seasons, after the program had achieved 157 wins in 21 seasons prior to the arrival of the senior class.
