Women's Soccer Falls to Anderson on Wednesday Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The women's soccer team came up short to the Ravens of Anderson Wednesday night with a final score of 1-0.  This drops the Engineers to 10-7 and 5-3 in the HCAC.  

Both teams were caught in a defensive battle in the first half.  Rose-Hulman was able to outshoot the Ravens 5-2 with the score tied at 0-0 as the match headed to halftime.  

The defensive match continued in the second half with both teams struggling to get clean shots on the goal.  Anderson was able to connect with a goal in the 75th minute to take the lead over Rose-Hulman 1-0.  Anderson would end up holding onto their one goal lead to defeat the Engineers and improve to 7-4-4 and 4-2-2 in the HCAC.  

Sidney Hohl led the Rose-Hulman offensive attack with a total of three shots on goal.  Goalie Katie Demert finished the match with four saves after five shots on goal.

The Engineers will look ahead to travel and face Transylvania on Saturday, 10/27 at 1:00 PM.  This match will be the deciding factor for the Engineers to be considered for the HCAC tournament.
