Women's Soccer Begins HCAC Competition Against Bluffton Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team will begin HCAC competition on Saturday against Bluffton University.

Rose-Hulman News & Notes:

* Rose-Hulman stands 5-4 on the season after defeating Westminster (Mo.) with a final score of 2-0.
Jessica Wells leads the HCAC with eight assists so far this season.  
* Wells is the teams leading goal scorer with four goals, eight assists, and 16 points so far this season.  
* Wells ranks No. 6 in Rose-Hulman history with 32 career goals, 5th in career assists with 22, and is 5th all-time with 86 career points.
* Goalkeeper Katie Demert now totals 44 saves on the season with a goals-against-average of 1.74.   
* After Bluffton, the team will continue HCAC play traveling to Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, 10/9 at 7:30 PM.  

The Opposition: Bluffton University

* The Beavers stand at 3-6 overall this season after being defeated by Heidelberg on Wednesday with a final score of 7-1.
* Julia Gibson leads the team with two goals, three assists, and seven points.     
* After the Engineers, the team will travel to face Defiance College on Wednesday, 10/9 at 3:30 PM.
