HCAC Women's Soccer Tournament Championship Set for Saturday at RHIT

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will host Hanover College in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament Championship Game on Saturday at the Engineer Intramural Field.

ADMISSION POLICY: For HCAC Tournament play, the following admission charges will be in place.  All transactions are CASH ONLY.
* Adults: $8
* Senior Citizens and Non-HCAC Students: $5
* HCAC Students, Faculty, Staff: FREE

Rose-Hulman News & Notes (14-4-1, 8-0-1 HCAC):

* Rose-Hulman competes in its the HCAC Tournament Championship Game for the second time in program history. 
* Rose-Hulman won its only previous appearance in the HCAC Tournament Championship Game in 2007.
* Rose-Hulman seeks its second NCAA Division III Tournament trip in program history (first in 2007).
* The Fightin' Engineers won their first outright HCAC regular season championship in 2019.  The team shared the HCAC regular season title in 2009. 
Jessica Wells leads the HCAC with 16 goals, 14 assists and 46 points so far this season.  Wells is tied for the single-season school record in points set by Jessica Farmer in 2003.    
* Wells ranks No. 4 in Rose-Hulman history with 44 career goals, No. 3 in career assists with 28, and No. 4 all-time with 116 career points.
Lane Lawrence (7 goals, 2 assists), Elle Vuotto (3 goals, 6 assists), Maggie Sheerin (5 goals, 1 assist), and Maddy Twetten (4 goals, 2 assists) have also reached double figures in points this season.
Veronica Gawarecki was named HCAC Defensive Player of the Week earlier this season after helping limit the opposition to single-digit shots total in two wins.
* Goalkeeper Katie Demert has helped Rose-Hulman achieve 10 total shutouts this season with a 1.18 goals against average and .785 save percentage.  

Hanover News & Notes (11-5-2, 7-1-1 HCAC):

* Hanover seeks its sixth trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament in Saturday's matchup.
* The Panthers won the HCAC Tournament championship in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
* Autumn Boothby leads Hanover with 11 goals and 26 points.  
* Double-figure scorers for Hanover also include Brandi Brock (4 goals, 5 assists); Kelsey Hughes (5 goals, 3 assists); Anna Smith (5 goals, 2 assists); and Ruby Kate Gray (5 goals).
* Hanover allows just 1.13 goals per game, led by Amanda Carmosino (11-4-2, 0.97 GAA, .849 save percentage)
