TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Two members of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer program earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors in results released today.
Wells led the HCAC with 16 goals, 15 assists and a Rose-Hulman school record 47 points this season. The HCAC Offensive Player of the Year ranked in the NCAA Division III national top 10 in assists and ranks No. 4 in program history with 117 career points. Wells scored 44 career goals with 18 game winning scores and 29 assists.
Rogers paced a defense that has recorded 11 shutouts this season and allowed just five total goals in conference play. The HCAC Defensive Player of the Year helped Rose-Hulman complete the HCAC schedule without a loss. Rogers started all 19 games at defender this season and recorded a pair of assists.
The Rose-Hulman women's soccer program has now earned 13 United Soccer Coaches all-region honors since 2003. Wells becomes just the third player in women's soccer program history to earn multiple all-region honors, joining Lucinda Combs (2012-15) and Mallory McDevitt (2014-15).
Rose-Hulman reached the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 2009 this season. The program under head coach Amy Helliwell finished 15-5-1 with HCAC regular season and tournament championships.
