TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recorded a third place finish at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's cross country championships, held Sunday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
Manchester won the 2019 HCAC championship with 27 points, followed by Hanover with 45 and Rose-Hulman with 87. Bluffton and Earlham rounded out the team top five.
Individually, Kaia Johnson earned all-HCAC honors to lead the Rose-Hulman performance. Johnson placed ninth overall with a six-kilometer time of 24:53.
Other Rose-Hulman team score contributors included Rachel Shubella in 21st place (25:58) and Patricia Giraldo in 24th (26:12). Taryn Perry (32nd in 26:49) and Sarozjani Hunter (45th in 27:58) rounded out the top seven.
The Fightin' Engineers return to action at the NCAA Division III Regional on Nov. 16.
